John Keats est né le 31 octobre 1795 à Finsbury Pavement, près de Londres. Il est mort le 24 février 1821, à l'âge de 25 ans. Auteur de plusieurs recueils importants, dont Hypérion,Endymion et les Ôdes, il est considéré comme un des grands représentants du romantisme au Royaume-Uni.
