Biographie

Né en 1962, Harlan Coben vit dans le New Jersey avec sa femme et leurs quatre enfants. Diplômé en sciences politiques du Amherst College, il a rencontré un succès immédiat dès ses premiers romans, tant auprès de la critique que du public. Il est le premier écrivain à avoir reçu le Edgar Award, le Shamus Award et le Anthony Award, les trois prix majeurs de la littérature à suspense aux États-Unis. Il est l'auteur notamment de Ne le dis à personne (Belfond, 2002) qui a remporté le prix des Lectrices de ELLE et a été adapté avec succès au cinéma par Guillaume Canet.

Il poursuit l'écriture avec plus d'une quinzaine d'ouvrages dont récemment Sans laisser d'adresse (2010), Sans un adieu (2010), Faute de preuves (2011), Remède mortel (2011) et Sous haute tension (2012), publiés chez Belfond. Ses livres, parus en quarante langues à travers le monde, ont été numéro un des meilleures ventes dans plus d'une douzaine de pays.

Avec la série des Mickey Bolitar, il s'essaie désormais à la littérature pour jeunes adultes.
