Biographie

Jan Morris, née James Morris en 1926, est une auteure et historienne galloise. Après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, il fut reporter pour le Times, puis pour le Manchester Guardian durant la crise du canal de Suez. En 1972, il décide de devenir une femme. Elle a reçu plusieurs prix littéraires, notamment le Golden PEN Award pour son uvre. En janvier 2008, le Times l'a classée au quinzième rang des plus grands écrivains britanniques depuis la guerre.
