Biographie

Philosophe à la culture encyclopédique, Giacomo Leopardi (1798-1837) est aussi le grand poète de la condition humaine et de la mémoire. Enfant prodige éduqué selon des principes religieux et très stricts, cet homme érudit s'inscrit, avec Dante, au panthéon des écrivains italiens. Conforme à la volonté iconoclaste des «?Plis?», cette sélection de lettres donne à voir un autre visage de Leopardi.
